Bullying

There are three major forms of bullying: Physical, Verbal, and indirect.

I will list the definition of each, and have two examples per category.

One where the victim isn't assertive, and one where they are

Physical Bullying

Physical Bullying is when someone uses their body to hurt someone.
It can range from bumping into them to shooting them. This is the classic form of bullying.

Example One

The victim is *not* being assertive, as they are just letting the bully get away with hurting them.

Example Two

In this example, the victim *is* being assertive by getting the attention of a teacher.

Verbal Bullying

Verbal Bullying is when someone offends someone else with words.
It can be anything from Blackmail to name calling. This is a common form of bullying.

Example One

The victim is *not* being assertive, as they are letting the insults get to them.

Example Two

In this example, the victim *is* being assertive by ignoring, and even embracing some of the insults.

Indirect Bullying

Indirect Bullying is when someone spreads misinformation about someone else.
It may not be intentional, as with someone spreading a misheard story. This is a hard one to recover from, and unfortunately very common.

Example One

The victim is *not* being assertive, as they are not clarifying the truth. They are letting their life get ruined because of a misunderstanding.

Example Two

In this example, the victim *is* being assertive by telling the truth to everyone. Luckily, the rumor wasn't spread by a malicious person,
but it was a misunderstading that billowed out of control. Once the original person was informed, they informed everyone of their mistake.
